About 17 Minutes

17 Minutes is a performance and video blog project. It is estimated that someone commits suicide every 17 minutes. For each performance I spend 17 minutes standing outdoors next to a tree. At the end of this 17 minutes I fall to the earth. This ritual offers a place of reflection, the time between. It also deals with the specific circumstance of my own brother's suicide and as a reenactment aims to be reminder of the life I am engaged in.

What is a video blog?

"A vlog or video blog is a blog (short for weblog ) which uses video as the primary content." In addition to downloading videos directly from this site, you can also subscribe to the RSS feed at the bottom of each. Subscribing to the RSS using an application like FireAnt allows you to automate the process of downloading videos and to be alerted when new content is added to the site.
